It was great to see you at A Sense of Place this year. This is the (non)place to continue those conversations that started in corners, in caves, on the couch, in the garden and in the pub.
If you weren't at A Sense of Place, well, what were you thinking? The Powerpoints might be online, there might be films and reports of the goings-on but really that's not what it's about. You should have been there
. The clue's in the name.
If you were there, join in the conversations here and help us keep the momentum going. Don't be shy. Contact me direct (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you prefer. Feel free to upload your photos too. There are already some online, have a look at the A Sense of Place photos
or check out the films of the days
made by Scott at WeeFlee productions.
This is the group that finds ways to count the uncountable, to pin down the un-pin-downable and to evaluate the intangible. We hope to define the qualities that make for successful communities; we look for different ways of doing things; we look for ways to spend our energies wisely and productively... and soon. We look at future thinking, social and cultural capital, place-based learning, health, sustainability, inclusion and participation.
It sounds fluffy but it has a core of steel.
