- I have worked for a number of years on rural policy and working with rural communities. I have now given up paid work and have now become a Parish Councillor in my local community to use my expertise. I am keen that out community gets its voice heard and is able to take some control of its future, I am also a trustee with a Charitable foundation based in Wales.

I think your situation now is a really interesting one. Given the stage you are at I wondered what you need, right now, to help you develop your plans. Is it technical advice? Is it capacity to push things forward? Is money/funding?
I'd be really keen to hear more and to provide any advice i can.

Welcome to The Transfer Process group. I'd be really keen to hear more about your interests, and what you'd like to get out of the group.
I'd also be interested to know how these ideas around service transfer relate to your context. I've just posted up a comment for Neil Forbes about the role of Town Councils in service transfers. Equally, I wonder whether Parish councils could be working more closely with community/voluntary groups to deliver their services?
I look forward to hearing more.
