"Thank you, Cormac, for your thought-provoking post.
It's great that this forum exists. The opportunity to learn about new approaches and witness them being discussed by a broad range of practitioners, community members, activists, and funders…"
"Hello, Ninian!
That sounds great! I'd love to have a wee walk now that the smoke has cleared.
I have friends visiting but will free up some time soon and see what day we're both available.
All the best!"
"Hi David
Great to see your presence here - and that amazing hat!
Do you fancy lunch at the pIllars sometime next week or week after?
Now the tents are down, it would be good to catch up and walk a little.

David Grant is now a member of Fiery Spirits Community of Practice
Welcome! FierySpirits is for activists and professionals who are building vibrant, resilient rural communities. Tell us a little about why you'd like to join?
I've been hoping to join my lovely wife and great new friends here for many moons.
I hope to meet more people of like mind and find ways to contribute to the great work being done, as well as discovering how I might better utilize my inherent talents and education towards these ends.
About Me (areas of expertise/interest I can share)
I am a mature student in the Social Anthropology programme at the University of St. Andrews. I'm also enrolled in the Sustainable Development course there, in hopes that a joint Masters will be offered by the time I get to the Honours Level.
I'm taking instruction in Gaelic; first of all, in hopes of the language's survival and growth, and also in preparation for fieldwork I wish to do in the Highlands and Islands.
I'm a member of Amnesty International's White Ribbon Scotland Campaign to eradicate violence against women. I intend to establish a strong presence of the campaign on the campus and in the town of St. Andrews.
I'm hoping to include the aims of the White Ribbon in my fieldwork, as well as discovering more of how music and other traditions contribute to the strengthening of bonds within communities.
