Profile Information

Welcome! FierySpirits is for activists and professionals who are building vibrant, resilient rural communities. Tell us a little about why you'd like to join?
I am an Environmental Engineer who has worked in climate change research for more than a decade. I am very concerned about the lack of progress in mitigating greenhouse gas emissions. In Queensland, Australia, we are heading down the track of turning our state into a gas land and mining quarry, while compromising our very best agricultural land and destroying our rural communities. I want to learn all I can about how we turn this around and help our rural communities rediscover their vibrancy. Also, I see I have a name sake in this community!
About Me (areas of expertise/interest I can share)
Bachelor of Engineering (Agricultural)
PhD (Environmental Engineering)
Climate change mitigation and adaptation research
Irrigation research
Member of the Greens political party
Activist against coal seam gas
