Welcome! FierySpirits is for activists and professionals who are building vibrant, resilient rural communities. Tell us a little about why you'd like to join?
'Rural' has been tough for the last century or two - now it's time for rural areas to re-energize and step into their true role in all of our sustainable futures.
About Me (areas of expertise/interest I can share)
You tell me! I gave up being able to describe myself ages ago. Okay - portfolio career (to quote Charles Handy); would probably have been able to do what I really want to do easier if I had been a man; curious; passionate about abundance, freedom and personal/social empowerment.

Four amazing children, aged 23 to 6 (and a patient S.O.), who regularly rock my world and bank balance.

Hi Jane - of course I remember you! Do I recall pigs too?
You'll realise that I struggle to keep up with what's going on on the internet along with everything else - perhaps my interests are just too broad! So I'm glad you've got in touch and got me reading some of this again. I've most recently been working at Strathclyde Uni on a research initiative around social learning and sustainability. As with a lot of social research, it helps us put into words what most people already know instinctively - and at least that provides me with some frameworks for confronting why I find this stuff difficult. For example, web and blogs seem to me to offer some fantastic knowledge, views and a social media - but I still struggle without the people context.
More effort required on my part I think!

Hi Jane
I won't be at the Big Tent Festival - I have a steady trickle of visitors from now until the end of August - (plus I am totally skint having had no paid work for the last 2 months!)

Hi Jane
Was interested to read your profile and relate to all of it. I decided that my own particular passion about life in general benefited more from my being a woman! Love the new moffatonline - it deserves to prosper.
