Hi All,
Does anyone have any good examples of communities using social media to engage people in community planning activities? Lots have Facebook, Twitter etc. but I am looking for good practice - effective, demonstrable benefits.

I get alerts when someone leaves a mesage for me on Fiery Spirits. Can I get alerts when someone leaves a message on the Welsh Wizards bit? I've logged in today and find there are some messages here relevant to me. Also not sure where Meic's message was about youth group - only got it because he copied it into my ordinary email.
You can follow individual discussions in the welsh wizards section by clicking 'follow' at the bottom of the page when the discussion is open... general comments don't get sent out (I don't think) but I will look at this. The thing here is that if someone wants to make sure you get the message in the in-box for rapid attention it's still best to send a message direct (or post it to your 'comment wall' on your page, as I'm doing here.
Best
Nick
Paul and I were hoping to arrange a date with you to have a welsh gathering at CAT in the New Year. Have you got a date in mind?
