- Welcome! FierySpirits is for activists and professionals who are building vibrant, resilient rural communities. Tell us a little about why you'd like to join?
- I work for the North Harris Trust, an organization managing the North Harris Estate on behalf of the local community. The Trust's key aims are to help build a stronger local community, and to protect and enhance the cultural and natural heritage of the area. I am joining Fiery Spirits to share information about the Trust's activities with the wider Community of Practice.
- About Me (areas of expertise/interest I can share)
- Last year I graduated with a BSc in Sustainable Forest Management from UHI Scottish School of Forestry. As part of the course I worked for Forestry Commission Scotland for one year, dealing with Grants and Licences. Through my course I developed a strong interest in community management of rural assets. After graduating, I spent 5 months in South India, working at a volunteer-based reforestation and sustainable living project.
