Welcome! FierySpirits is for activists and professionals who are building vibrant, resilient rural communities. Tell us a little about why you'd like to join?: I'm frustrated in working for speculative commercial developers and the limitations of the public sector. So with several partners we are exploring community-led developments that are affordable, ethical and sustainable. Mostly thinking around brownfield urban development sites (as more sustainable than most rural projects irrespective of their ethos - point certainly worth discussing!) linking community groups, potential sites and finding. So basically, learning by doing and seeking lessons and encouragement from elsewhere - even from south of Yorkshire!

About Me (areas of expertise/interest I can share): I am an urban planner, designer with an expertise and experience in integrated systems design (SAP, PHPP Code Assessor & other energy modelling), innovative finance and community-led development models. Currently developing ideas and projects for urban-based community land trusts in the North of England (that's the proper north for Yorkshire, Tees Valley, Durham, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland).
