FIFE DIET AGM

This Saturday sees our first AGM as a properly constituted group. It's a chance to reflect on the year before and figure out what life (if any) there is in a post-CCF world.

More importantly than that though it's a chance to eat bramble cup

cakes, drink wine and listen to Phil Hanlon.

Phil is Professor of Public Health at Glasgow… Continue

Announcing Broomhill Gardens

Broomhill Gardens
is the name chosen for the brand new community food garden and allotments we are launching in Burntisland. After a seemingly interminable wait for planning permission - we are finally ready to lay hoof to spade and cut turf. Of course by now its too late in the season to do anything but it will give us a few months to put in paths, fences, rotivate, sort out water supply, start improving… Continue

June News from the Fife Diet

Each month we'll be sharing our e-news from the Fife Diet project...this month we're eating strawberries, asparagus, courgettes, dill, coriander, pak choi, raspberries, basil, and pork pies(?!?) We are out of the hungry-gap and it's officially summer. Tomatoes and strawberries and salad are available again, and the last of the asparagus is still around (and… Continue

Hi Mike

Brilliant to be catching up with your posts and to see your new persona - wish there had been a way to integrate all your previous material, och well.

I'm really keen to drive traffic into the groups on the site - eg where you've already been posting - so it's good to see your 'cow' pic coming up in the new widget on the front page. be good to have a cuppa sometime to touch base in any case and great if you're able to keep cross fertilising into fieryspirits...

best

'orright me beauty?

Guess who's finally coming to Scotland?

Children in Scotland have booked me for their 'Sense of Place' (haven't I heard that term somewhere before?) conference in Inverness on Tues 8th June
They are paying my travel and accomodation but no fee, so it would be really good if I could cobble-up some paid work while I'm in the Big Country.
I need to be in London on Friday 11 (keynote at LSBU 'Place Based Learning' conference - which is paid) but it would be great if I could find a couple of schools in Scotland interested in some storytelling demonstration lessons and staff training for Weds 9th and Thurs 10th June.
Don't suppose you have any contacts or ideas that might bear fruit here? Got plenty of blurb and flyers to impree 'em if necessary...
oll an gwella

Will

cheers me dears
