John McKnight Community Capacities and Community Necessities

Our friends at the Schumacher Society recently circulated the email below. We found it spoke directly to many of the projects we have been working on at Eden, but also gives a powerful insight into Asset Based approaches that are not about buildings and ownership but about values, attitudes and relationships.

I hope you enjoy reading

Hi Tony,

I am collating the next edition of the FS Newsburst and am looking for a few hundred words on the Big Lunch, I wondered who would be best to write it? I dropped line to Lisa W also...

best regards,

Hi Tony

just caught up with your reply to graham's blog... woudl be really interested to read that paper - technically, to add a paper, just press the little sheet of paper icon that pops up when you start writing (it lets you upload a file - next to the camera).
let me know if that doesn't work for you

Dear Tony,

thanks for your great hosting last week, Eden is a most inspirational place. I am wodering how we can increase collaboration with CAT. What usually works well is to have more staff exchanges, we host your eco-education team and then we bring our lot to eden.

we could do it less formally and offer an open invitation for eden staff to get into CAT free, and get a behind the scenes look around - and vice versa.

I think it would be great to do more together and welcome your thoughts.....
