- I have been a member of a Community Alert Group for 15 years and am particularly concerned for the safety and welfare of vulnerable elderly in rural Ireland. I have been involved with the retention rural policing in the South West of Ireland for over a year.I am particularly interested in sustainable rural communities and our group has recently been responsible for bringing a Number of rural campaigns together(Small Schools Campaign, Community Hospitals, Rural Post Offices, Ambulance Service, Rural Transport etc. )under an umbrella group which represents all .
