Unlocking Potential

Finally getting round to introducing a modest offering from the Communities on the Edge team in the form of a Handbook for Community Animators. It's essentially a collection of thoughts and reflections from our small team of seven, compiled over the three years of our RARP project, which we hope might be of use to others serving out similar roles in their own places.

Rethinking the Country report

Words like sustainability or resilience or vulnerability are often used in the media these days but what do they really mean? The Big Lunch!

Once a year, starting on Sunday, July 19th 2009, we want as many of the 61 million people in the UK as possible to simultaneously sit down to lunch together, with their neighbours, in the middle of their street, as a simple but profound act of community.
