I'm a Carnegie Associate working on the 'Service Transfer' topic. I recently read your FierySpirits profile, and was interested to see you'd done lots of work on co-production (I've downloaded your Practical Approaches to Co-production document by the way).
In our work on Service Transfer, we've been exploring the spectrum of transfers, from very oppositional approaches in the world of self-help to the more collaborative approaches in the realm of co-production. Of course, its not as linear as this, but it helps us think about the types of service transfers that take place.
I'd be really keen to get your input in our service transfer topic group, and to connect you with others interested in this field. You can join the group by following this link (http://fieryspirits.com/group/ruralservices).
As an aside, we’ll be posting up lots of new content on the subject of service transfer in the coming weeks, which may well be of interest. For example one member will posting up a ‘story’ of their 10 year development since transferring from a local authority in 2003.
We have 'launched' the services work in Argyll and Bute and the publication 'A Shreholders Guide to Rural Services.' It would be great if you could join this group and share a little about your work with co-production.
